At Watermoor House Residential Care Home in Cirencester, we believe that activities are central to excellent care. That’s why we offer a wide range of different types of activities that ensure there are options on offer suitable to all our residents, regardless of their interests and abilities.
Last week, our residents got creative with Easter bonnet making and flower arranging activities, which are part of our regular activities and events calendar. Our accredited Activities Co-ordinator is passionate about creating a varied and engaging activities calendar designed to appeal to all our residents, regardless of ability.
We encourage our residents to participate in these activities to increase their social interaction, mental stimulation, and, most importantly, their enjoyment. Our residents make lasting friendships in our homes and enjoy a full and varied program of activities.
At Watermoor House, we provide free activities. There is no obligation to join our activities, but we encourage our residents to be involved.
Our regular activities include physical, mental, social, creative, recreational, relaxation, sensory, and reminiscence activities. We also have a mobile shop that offers a few essentials and treats, which is enjoyable and convenient for our residents.
Many of our more active residents enjoy regular trips out of the home. We believe that trips out are an important part of an active social life, which our residents should continue to enjoy even though they are in residential care. That’s why we ran a sponsored walk and applied for grants and managed to fund a new minibus!
The types of trips you can expect include meals out, local points of interest, cultural experiences, and retail therapy.
At Watermoor House, we are committed to providing our residents with a full and enjoyable life. We believe that activities such as Easter bonnet making and flower arranging bring our residents together and create a sense of community. If you or a loved one is interested in joining us at Watermoor House, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
