Food and Nutrition

At Watermoor House, we recognise that good food is central to a happy, healthy life.

When you join Watermoor House, our chefs take the time to learn about your individual tastes and dietary requirements. As a result, every meal we serve is both nutritious and tailored to you. In addition, we use fresh, seasonal ingredients full of natural flavour, and each meal is prepared to a high standard.

Our Head Chef attends residents’ meetings to share menu updates and gather feedback, ensuring our offerings are continually refined to suit everyone’s preferences. Residents can enjoy a daily choice of freshly cooked, traditional dishes, with regular menu changes providing plenty of variety and interest.

At Watermoor House, we ensure that every resident enjoys meals that are nutritious, appealing and suited to their individual needs.

Importantly, we are able to cater for a wide range of requirements, including:

  • Special diets for ethical, religious or medical reasons (such as vegetarian, vegan, halal or kosher)
  • Allergy- and intolerance-friendly meals
  • Texture-modified diets for residents with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)

Our experienced catering team works closely with residents, families and health professionals to ensure meals are both safe and enjoyable. Care staff are always on hand to provide support at mealtimes where needed.

Dining experience

Many of our residents enjoy their meals in our welcoming dining room, sharing time with friends in a relaxed and social setting. However, meals can also be served in residents’ own rooms if they prefer.

Friends and relatives are welcome to join residents for lunch by prior arrangement — please contact our reception team to discuss this.
