Finance Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible finance professional to join our small and friendly team.

The Finance Officer plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our organisation. Working 20 hours across the week, no two days will be the same. This varied role includes processing and monitoring income and expenditure, maintaining accurate accounts, producing financial reports, ensuring financial compliance, and liaising with our payroll contractor.

You will have accountancy or bookkeeping qualifications, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and previous experience in a similar financial role. A trustworthy and dependable finance professional, you will have a great work ethic and excellent attention to detail. You will have a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.

Our ideal candidate will be conscientious, flexible and organised, with the ability to manage their own time and workload to meet deadlines. You will be competent and confident in using MS Office and at least one accounting software package; proficiency in Sage would be a significant advantage.

Our small team works collaboratively to achieve results, and effective teamwork and communication are essential. You will be required to communicate with a range of stakeholders in a professional and friendly manner; for example, residents and their family members, Trustees, and suppliers.
