Respite care has several benefits for families or carers of elder people when they are on holiday or just needing to take a break, but not only for them, residents also find the peace of mind and care they need.
For those who have to look after the elderly, respite care offers a number of advantages such as stress reduction and exhaustion relief, patience increase and allows them to have more time for their personal relationships or their free time. On the other hand, patients feel that they are well cared with daily programme activities and a 24-hour care, as well as feeling that it improves their physical activity and is practical for their mobility and mental and physical health. They can also interact with the staff and other people in the same situation, therefore building a social interaction in a comfortable care environment, which is good and recommendable for them.
At Watermoor House we offer short term respite care and look after all of our residents with full dedication in a comfortable environment, including personal care, medication and all required aspects in their daily life. We are located in the heart of the market town Cirencester, the Capital of the Cotswolds, in a Georgian house with maintained gardens in Watermoor Road, just a few steps away from St. Michael’s Park.
Cirencester lies on the River Churn and is the largest town in the Cotswolds. It has a wonderful history with lovely old streets and many places to visit and enjoy, such as the Cirencester park, the Roman Amphitheatre or the Corinium Museum. Everyone in town is very friendly and welcoming, it is a place where everyone feels at home.
In Watermoor House our patients are happy and satisfied with respite care and short breaks, and also the carers.
