As the festive season approaches, we at Watermoor House Residential Care Home in Cirencester are eagerly gearing up for a month filled with heartwarming activities and joyous events. Our dedicated team, committed to providing 24-hour residential and respite care for up to 39 residents, is all set to create a cheerful and inclusive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
At Watermoor House, we take pride in offering a comfortable and nurturing environment where residents are encouraged to maintain their independence and actively participate in decisions that shape their daily lives. Our focus remains on providing personalised care, adapting to changing needs, and fostering a genuine homely atmosphere where every resident is considered part of our extended family.
December marks a special time for us, as we’ve curated an exciting lineup of events and activities to bring smiles and laughter to our residents’ faces. Here’s a glimpse of the festive calendar:

Saturday, December 2nd – Bingham Hall Macmillan Sale
Join us at the Bingham Hall for a charitable cause supporting Macmillan.
Thursday, December 7th – Christmas Jumper Day & Stratton School Performance
Get your festive jumpers on and enjoy the delightful performance by Stratton School children at 10:00 a.m.
Friday, December 8th – Chesterton School & Wild Oakes Nursery Performances & Penguin Visit
An afternoon filled with joy as children from Chesterton School and Wild Oakes Nursery perform, followed by a visit from our adorable penguin friends at 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 9th – Watermoor House Coffee Morning
A delightful morning awaits with coffee, stalls, and an exciting raffle from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Sunday, December 10th – Salvation Army Band
Enjoy the beautiful melodies brought to us by the Salvation Army Band at 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, December 12th – Elvis Sings Christmas & Male Voice Choir
Join us for a special musical treat as Elvis sings Christmas tunes at 2:00 p.m., followed by the Male Voice Choir at 4:00 p.m.
Thursday, December 14th – Ukulele Performance & Christmas Lunch Out
Guests will delight in a ukulele performance with a glass of sherry at 11:00 a.m., followed by a festive lunch out at 12:30 p.m.
Friday, December 15th – Christmas Spectacular Show
Monday, December 18th – Cheese and Wine Evening
Join us for an evening of indulgence with a cheese and wine event at 7:00 p.m. (Tickets £10.00).
Thursday, December 21st – Christmas Bingo
Exciting prizes await at our festive bingo event starting at 11:00 a.m.
Friday, December 22nd – Christmas Party
Sunday, December 24th – Christmas Eve
Experience cherished traditions at 11:00 a.m. and a heartwarming Christingle service at 2:00 p.m.
