Amy is an experienced Home Manager who has worked her way up through care, from assistant through to management. She joined Watermoor House in September 2024 and is a wonderful addition to our management team, bringing a wealth of knowledge and ideas. Amy holds the NVQ 5 in Health and Social Care, as well as qualifications and experience in areas including dementia and end of life care.
As Home Manager, Amy is responsible for the day-to-day running of Watermoor House and for ensuring that residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care at all times. She heads up the care and support teams, working closely with residents and their families to make sure individual needs, preferences and routines are understood and respected. Amy places a strong emphasis on dignity, kindness and consistency of care, and is committed to maintaining a calm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the home. She also works closely with healthcare professionals, trustees and external partners to continuously review and improve the quality of care provided.
